 Microsoft发布的Office 2007中使用了与XML有关的docx、xlsx、pptx等Office 2007专用文件格式。 这给广大的Microsoft Office XP和Microsoft Office 2003用户而言不是件好事，用Office XP和Office 2003是无法打开这些专用文件的。 

幸好Microsoft考虑到了广大用户的需求，发布了Office Word、Excel 和 PowerPoint 2007 文件格式兼容包 。安装该兼容包之后，就可以对Word、Excel 和 PowerPoint 2007 新增的文件格式进行打开、编辑和保存操作了。 

该兼容包还可以与 Microsoft Office Word Viewer 2003、Excel Viewer 2003 和 PowerPoint Viewer 2003 配合使用，用来查看以这些新格式保存的文件。 

最新的Office Word、Excel 和 PowerPoint 2007 文件格式兼容包的版本是3.0版，你可以点击下面这个链接下载。
